The Dee One Martini, created for the Peony Bar at London’s Opium speakeasy, is featured in BarChick’s Evening Standard column. Created exclusively for BarChick by Rasa Gaidelyte at Peony, the drink contains D1 London Gin with grapefruit, Suze and Rasa’s homemade Chinese spice syrup.
According to BarChick, the delicious drink provides a ‘fruity hit that comes from the tangy grapefruit and the blackcurrant note of the heavily botanical-led D1 gin. This is followed by a hint of the cocktail’s strong spicy backbone coming from the Hellfire bitters, sweetened by the Chinese spice syrup.’ Available on Peony’s menu, the Martini has 50ml of D1 London Gin 25ml of fresh grapefruit, a dash of Angostura Bitters, a dash of Hellfire bitters and 17ml of Peony’s homemade 11 Chinese spice syrup.
